Kelowna Vacation

Kelowna is a city on Okanagan Lake in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. The name Kelowna comes from a native term for "female grizzly bear."
Kelowna is the third most populous urban area in British Columbia (after the Vancouver and Victoria), and the largest in the British Columbia Interior. With picturesque lake vistas and a dry, warm climate, Kelowna has become one of the fastest growing cities in North America. In 1986 a new highway was built to cut the travel time between Vancouver and Kelowna as Kelowna was and still is a very popular vacation getaway for residents of Vancouver. The new highway eliminated 2 hours of travel time between the cities, lowering the driving time to just less than 4 hours.

Victoria, BC Vacation

Situated on the southern point of Vancouver Island is Victoria, which is the capital city of British Columbia. Victoria is a popular vacation destination with over 3.6 millions vacationers a year. Victoria is also, a major cruise ship port, where ships stop at Ogden Point terminal. The city is relatively small with a permanent population of about 370,000. In the Harbour area seaplanes take off for fantastic vacations, ferries arrive with more tourists and boaters bring in a wide range of pleasure craft. Victoria is considered by some travelers to be the Gem of the Pacific certainly of the North West because of its lovely harbor and small town atmosphere with a little bit of Britain. Downtown Victoria is decorated with English-style street lamps and hanging baskets of beautiful flowers. Shops and stores are mainly located in well preserved heritage buildings welcoming customers to browse. Beacon Hill Park, a popular attraction in Victoria, is a big draw for vacationers wanting to explore the outdoors.

Whistler Vacation

Whistler, British Columbia is resort town situated about 125km north of Vancouver, about a 2 hour drive through some of the most beautiful scenery on the West Coast. The town was included as a resort municipality with a permanent population of less than 10,000. More than 2 million tourists vacation in Whistler every year, mainly for it world-famous skiing and snow boarding and its mountain biking. Whistler has been named one of the top vacation destinations in North America for the past 15 years.
Whistler has been declared the Host Mountain Resort for the 2010 Winter Olympics, hosting the alpine technical and speed events, the Nordic events as well as the sliding events. 

Squamish, British Columbia Vacation

Squamish, British Columbia is about half way from Vancouver to Whistler. This town is known as the outdoor recreation capital of British Columbia because of the wide variety of rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, scuba diving and more.
Located on Highway 99, Squamish is only 44km north of Vancouver. Coming from Vancouver simply head over the Lions Gate Bridge of the Second Narrows Bridge. If you are using the Second Narrows stay on Highway 1 through Horseshoe Bay, staying to the right as you near the Ferry Terminal. From here follow the signs on Highway 99 for Whistler and Squamish.
If you are using the Lion’s Gate Bridge, hop onto Marine Drive towards West Vancouver, turn right on to Taylor Way and head up the hill turning left onto Highway 1. All the roads are well signed.
Alternatively, the Greyhound Bus goes between Vancouver and Whistler several times a day and stops in Squamish on the way.
